Instruction that Incorporates Technology

Know how to plan, organize, deliver, and evaluate instruction for all students that incorporates the effective use of current technology for teaching and integrating the Technology Applications Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) into the curriculum.

Reflection

I have gained a great deal of experience incorporating the TEKS into the classroom this year in my work at Lake Worth High School. The TEKS for technology are very broad and they are open to much interpretation, however I feel that I was able to incorporate all the TEKS for the subjects I taught over the process of the year and I gained a great deal of insight into what other educators are doing though the TATC program. The TEKS are a standard and I have come to better understand that standard through my work in the classroom and TATC.

Title: Teacher Help Site

Course: Web Mastering

Date Created: Dec 2003

Source: All original Graphics and the following siteshttp://plymouthschools.com/TeacherPages.html  This site is a good example of the kind of site that could be created in word.

http://www.teachers.k12.sd.us/  This site hosts teacher sites after they are built, although it is intended for teachers in South Dakota.

http://teacherweb.com/  They allow you to post messages and links for your students.

http://teachers.work.co.nz/ This is another good site that will help you find out more about the web and building your own site

Media:  Adobe Go Live and Photoshop

Description: We were assigned the task of making a website to teach teachers.  It was suppose to contain how  to information and basic site maps.

Rationale: I believe that I created an effective site with simple graphics, detailed information and useful links.  I think that a beginner could easily follow my directions.

Implications for future: This could be used for a web class or at a workshop.

Reviewers Comments: I never knew you could do so much with basic tools.  I’m going to have to try it.
