Standard XI

The Web mastering teacher has the knowledge and skills needed to teach the Foundations, Information Acquisition, Work in Solving Problems, Communication strands of the Technology Applications Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) in Web mastering, in addition to the content described in Technology Applications Standards I-V.

Reflection:

I feel that web mastering is one of the most important skills learned in the TATC program.  I feel that I have grown a great deal, however my journey is not nearly complete.  There is so much that I still have to learn and it is a continual process.  The web gains more and more participants everyday.  It is up to developers to make sure that the content is accurate and visually pleasing.

Title: Sunset Travel Homepage

Course: Web Design 102 - 2

Date Created: October 4, 2002

Source: Ally Muntean creations

Media: Dreamweaver 4, Flash 4, Adobe Photoshop 7, Adobe Go Live, and Word 2000

Description: This is the first 3 pages of a travel web site. The logo was something that I created in Photoshop and animated with Flash. The role-overs were done in Go Live. I created the text in Word

Rationale: This project taught me how to create a site and how to organize my graphics. I learned to use Adobe Go Live and I accomplished my goals.

Implications for future: This proves that I can make a website and I will use this for my digital portfolio as an example of my acquired skills. The Travel Site was a difficult project for me to finish, but I am pleased with the result. I wanted to have a dynamic site with a flash animation as well as role-overs.

Reviewers Comments: You did great for all the switching – the animations were great. Overall good layout and design.

Title: Java Photo Gallery

Course:  Web Mastering

Date:  Oct 2003

Source: Ally Muntean Photography

Description:  The assignment was to make a web gallery using JAVA scripting to show a slide show.  I chose pictures that I took from Big Bend National Park as my source.

Rational:  I used my own pictures to give the project a personal touch and to show a beautiful place.  I wanted as many people to see the park as possible and this would be a great way to do so.

Implications for the future.  I loved this and I will use this technique to show a large amount of pictures without making separate pages.

Reviewers Comments: “Love the pictures, they really are beautiful’
