Reflection Over Portfolio Experience
I
came into the TATC program with a great deal of multimedia experience. I had been working in the field for over 5
years when I decided to try and teach.
The main think that I have gained is the fact that education and the
real world are two very different things and in education you must always
evaluate yourself before you can teach others. I have been able to give advice as well
as take it and discuss many different topics with my fellow TATCers and this has been the most valuable element
that I can take away from the TATC experience. This program really forced me to categorize
and arrange my thoughts and work into a body that really is an example of
my capabilities and my learning experience.
I feel that my portfolio could greatly improve, however due to time constraints
this is what I have to offer.
Overall
I have gained a great deal of experience and skill at evaluating software
programs, file formats, and terminology. Through interactions with my
fellow classmates, instructors, mentors and my own students I have
experienced theoretical molding and practical application of technology.
Although technology is a dynamic and changing field I believe that my
experience will benefit those that I interact with and my future students
for years to come.
